New Technology-Google AdWords Redesign Coming Soon!
Although Google AdWords underwent a touch up back in 2008, the platform which is over 15 years old, has never had a major redesign, which is somewhat unusual for any technology interface. Quite a bit has changed in the world of technology in 15 years, most notably the introduction of a multitude of mobile devices such as smart phones, netbooks and tablets.
On May 24, 2016, Google is presenting a live demonstration of their newly redesigned AdWords interface. Most of Google''s apps such as Maps, Search and Gmail already take advantage of Google''s design language, Material Design, which allows users to have a similar interaction when using both desktop and mobile. The AdWords redesign will incorporate the use of the Material Design language as well. Rather than focusing on changing AdWords functionality, the redesign will focus on data. Revamping what data is displayed, how data is displayed and when, will be the primary focus.
Google is hoping to gradually roll out components of the redesigned AdWords interface, with the full redesign projected to be completed in about 18 months. Google has decided not to offer an open beta, but instead will be allowing select advertisers of their choosing to offer feedback from their testing results.
Google''s demonstration begins on May 24th at noon (Eastern time) during their Google Performance Summit. Those interested in signing up for it in advance may do so at: https://goo.gl/A73U1u. The demo will also be available after May 24th as a recording. For more information on Google AdWords and all things technical, please contact us.
