Overview

folio1 was approached to review a current Progress Sitefinity CMS to provide further insights on how to take full advantage of Sitefinity dynamic features & personalisation engine.

As part of this development project, we were also asked to develop a single sign-on (SSO) solution to be integrated with the CMS & marketing systems.

Solution

As part of the solution, our team built a new personalisation feature for Sitefinity CMS that allowed to apply a personalised cookie on load based on the URL or dedicated landing page. This was also integrated with Marketo which was used for customer marketing & CRM.

folio1 was also part of the dedicated team to build & develop the solution for a single sign-on (SSO) across several sites and 3rd party applications. Azure AD B2c identity experience framework was used for the development of the SSO solution. At the time of the build & development, Azure was in public preview as it was new to the Azure service line so there was limited support.

Alongside the single sign-on project our team was also building a custom-built Member Hub developed in Sitefinity allowing customers to manage their Super information in a central location. This also was integrated into the 3rd party Loyalty platform that allowed Super customers to purchase retail products, with a portion of the purchase going to their super. One of the main complexities was the gathering of the integration of data needed from 3rd party services from multiple providers.

Outcome

The result allows members to sign in to all applications and services, providing customers with a single portal to manage their super and across the Loyalty channel without the need of re-signing in, enhancing the user experience. This was the start of the Omnichannel approach across several applications to be added to the ecosystem moving forward.
