UI & UX Design: One Point to Consider Before Making Your Own User-Friendly Site

Australia's Careers Future At Folio1

Web design is on the rise as a steady source of home-based income. It is right up there with Ebooks, Etsy shops, and blogs as a way for more creative people to beat the standard 9-5 office job in favor of something more artistic. As more people learn the much needed skills of coding and development, it's no surprise that web design and UI/UX has quickly become a fast growing industry.

However, the task of coming up with a good website design that is fully functional yet showcases everything they want in a site is still very much daunting. Even looking up templates on Pinterest makes the most savvy beginner designer have a little anxiety. So how does one get started with making their own site?

The first task is to figure out what it is you want in a website in terms of functionality. What do you plan to showcase in your blog? Do you want this site to be responsive in design? How many pages and buttons do you want your site design to have, and how do you want them placed? This is key to figure out first before thinking about how you want your site to look in an artistic sense. It is all too easy to get caught up in a lovely, brightly colored look for a site, all to be frustrated later at the design not working properly. To find good designs for inspiration, simply look at templates online and research how such templates work. This should provide ample inspiration for your own unique design and how to make it work for you.

The purpose of UX/UI design is to create a user interface that is fully functional and attractive to the eye. Make sure to make a list of all the details you want in your site that will make it unique and easy for your audience to browse. Then find the template (or design your own) to suit your needs!
