Application Insights helps you monitor how your apps perform and how people use them. Starting now, you can monitor all the elements of your Cloud application on one map even if the elements are in different languages or are serverless. Application Insights helps you find problems and fix them quickly.

The following are the new features:

• Snapshot Debugger and Profiler: This enhancement helps you do live debugging and profiling in the Cloud. It shows you snapshots from your live app where your customers experienced exceptions -- and it shows you some traces where they didn't have exceptions so you can compare them. This means you don't have to spend precious hours reproducing random performance errors. You will fix bugs faster.
• Application Map: One active graphic shows you all the elements of your app and the roles that depend on them, such as clients, web services, Azure Functions, Service Fabric and more. Most important of all, each intersection shows performance and allows you to click-through to diagnostics.
• Smart Detection: This feature lets you to rapidly pinpoint the initiating cause of deviations from performance standards.
• Usage and Retention Analysis Tools: These tools help you see how your users employ your app. The goal is to show you how each feature measures up to user expectations and where you can improve features for the next upgrade.
